this was supposed to be the hardest way to beat this map and it feels like it but idk why, i would say its not as bad as i was expecting it to be. the backwards route is less enjoyable and the optimal route feels similar to this in terms of difficulty. i did not count how many 8/8s i got but i estimate its the same as the optimal route, so roughly 30 8/8s, since the last two pages and escape is the same. should be noted that i escaped the backwards route on my first 8/8, but when i wanted to record it, i had to 8/8 twice before i escaped again. the hard part of the backwards route is the pages. not the case here or on the optimal route. getting the pages was just as easy as the optimal route as well, and feels just as fast, obviously not but it didn't feel like a drag like the backwards route did. most significantly, i believe this is the first ever documented instance of someone escaping without the kitchen photo. if i am wrong, pls send the recording. i couldn't find anyone doing it before me. i might try and see if the backwards route can do that too or if this way is only possible with this route, which is supposedly the hardest and lest merciful. this was not recorded with the thinkpad t420 and bandicam with cpu mpeg4 encoding, but instead with ocam and nvenc h264. 1080p 60fps at a qp of 20? i turned off postprocessing in the ini because that adds filmgrain, and thus increases the file size. just in case anyone was curious why bitrates are higher when postprocessing isn't disabled.
