We’ve finally made it to Ubud, Bali, our final stop of our 33rd country of Indonesia! This landlocked city is most famous for the Tegallalang Rice Terraces and incredible temples. Many of Ubud’s best things to do are a short drive apart. So, we rented a motorbike to cruise around Ubud, Bali and explored our very favorite way - on our own! We’ve driven a scooter around Italy, but have never driven a motorbike around Southeast Asia. We wondered if we were making a big mistake, but decided to put on our helmets and lean into the adventure. Our first stop was the Tegallalang rice terraces where we “trekked” around the rice fields. Just like Nusa Penida, be sure to stay hydrated because, while the rice terraces are gorgeous, the weather is so humid and hot. Tegallalang is also the spot to get that perfect Bali Instagram. You know the one. She’s wearing a stunning flowy dress, swinging in the breeze with her feet dangling over the rice fields. Yep, this is the spot for those shots. Bring some extra cash and werk! After Tegallalang we had a great lunch and were off to the Tirta Empul Water Temple, also known as the Holy Spring temple. This is a place locals come for healing and renewal. Watching people take part in the water ritual was truly a beautiful experience and one we highly recommend. After getting caught in the pouring rain, we managed to make it to the hotel soaking wet on our scooter to round out our first day in Ubud, Bali. We’ll see y’all back here for Ubud day two! We hope you enjoyed our Ubud Bali vlog and, as always, we’ll see you in our next video as we Keep Going Places! Be sure to SUBSCRIBE, LIKE and leave us a COMMENT if you enjoyed this video!
