1965 Corvette C2 Stingray Classic Car For Sale in Louth Lincolnshire

On behalf of our customer we are offering for sale is this stunning 1965 Chevrolet Corvette C2 roadster. Finished in Milano Maroon metallic with matching burgundy seats and carpets, the car is powered by the 327ci V8 producing 300BHP. A four speed manual gearbox transmits power to the rear wheels via a limited slip diff. There is no power steering and the vented disc brakes are surprisingly good without servo assistance. This car has an unusual history since arriving on our shores and makes it a rare find. Originally a US dry state car, it was imported into the UK in 1994 when the mileage recorded was just 63,000. The car was then sold in 1995 to the husband of an Olympic Gold Medalist now turned celebrity who kept the car for 25 years and hardly used it at all - there are 20 old MOT certificates from 1994 to 2017 showing the mileage covered on UK roads to be just over 500. As such, the underside obviously hasn't been subject to salt and remains in great condition. Also, this isn't a recently restored car but it is in stunning condition with original seats and carpets, the latter showing signs of expected wear but having a lovely patina that only original, low mileage cars can carry off. We were fortunate to purchase this car in 2020 and immediately sold it to one of our regular clients who has an eye for quality. Due to the fact that the car had such a period of inactivity, we serviced and recommissioned it as was necessary, nothing drastic - just new plugs, fluids, coolant hoses, rear suspension bushes etc. and a new MOT. Since then, our client has enjoyed it for the summer covering just over 600 miles trouble free - incidentally this is more than the previous owner covered in 25 years!
