In 1993, Data East wanted to jump on the Fighting Game bandwagon that Capcom had set up with Street Fighter II back in 1991. What we get here is a ""ripoff"" of said game called Fighter's History. Originally Japanese exclusive, the game DID get a localized Super NES release in 1994. Let's take a look at what we've got here! Much like Ryu, Ray McDougall here is a wandering martial artist looking to seek and challenge tough opponents. When the mysterious "K" is rumored to be the strongest fighter in the world, Ray decides to enter the Great Grapple tournament to challenge them. Much like Ken, Ray comes equipped with a projectile attack and a forward special kick. However, he does NOT have an uppercut technique, instead opting to utilize a forward tackle attack. The inputs are as follows: ⬇️↘️➡️ + Punch = Big Tornado ⬇️↙️⬅️ + Kick = Wheel Kick ➡️➡️ + Punch = Dynamite Tackle Ray also sports a DDT throw, which can be used in mid-air. #fightershistory #Ray #fightinggames #fightinggamecommunity #dataeast #NintendoSwitch2 #gameplay #highlight #retrogaming #underratedgems #obscuregames #supernintendoentertainmentsystem
