SCM Pratix S15 CR+ cnc unload and rigging

This information in the video and notes would have been helpful to us when trying to plan for unloading and moving this cnc into the shop, so i thought i would share for the benefit of others that may be planning for this machine. Of course SCM could change how this is shipped, skidded, etc in the future. This was done in January 2017. The cnc with the skid weighed 8,230 pounds, without was about 7,460 pounds. The red rigging pockets were lag bolted to the skid, and bolted to the cnc with hex key screws. On our machine the hex keys were finger tight and could be backed out by reaching in the end. The fork pockets on the machine are 2" tall, 6 3/4" wide, and 58" center to center. 6'-8' long forks would be ideal. The skid is about 20' long, the cnc is about 19'. The forks on the loader we used were too thick to slip in the machine pockets. It would have been much easier if we could have used those pockets. There are also lift eyes on the machine that could be used if you have the right equipment. Let us know if you have any questions or would like more information.
