Probably more difficult with nimble because of miasma and bleed, but still very doable and great with the right approach. ► SUBSCRIBE: http://bitly.com/2OtMG9b ► Battle Brothers Playlist: https://bit.ly/2BYWHTS 🌟-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------🌟 So, 47 enemies, one of which is the boss, The Conqueror. He has the Emperor's armor (reflects damage), a lot of HP, and a crypt cleaver. High melee skill and defence, very dangerous. The two biggest annoyances other than the army of pikes, warscythes, rhomphaias and crypt cleavers are the Necrosavants and the Ancient Priests. The miasma spam, and potentially horrify, are both very annoying. Necrosavants have high melee and defence, along with bleed. Indomitable helps a lot versus both as nimble, and the large HP pool makes the damage very negligible. Resilient is great versus bleed as well. Since these are ancient undead, the best weapons are two-handed hammers, they utterly destroy them. The new legendaries, however, are by far the best possible weapons. The holy water acts as a grenade and can hit up to 7 undead at once, ignoring all armor and doing very large damage. You can get it from your monk in a random event, and while it does rely on luck, you can get an infinite amount. You can also get 3 from the sunken temple. I only used 3, since that was all I had. The other legendary I was using was the "Reproach of the Old Gods", and this weapon is undoubtedly the best in the game. As long as you hit only 1 opponent, you do guaranteed lightning damage to 3 opponents, ignoring all armor, assuming they are next to each other. It does a lot of damage, and can be used 3 times in one round with Berserk. My duelist ended up getting 14 kills, by far the most, and he could have gotten even more if he wasn't stuck fighting the conqueror for a few rounds. It also does effectively two strikes on a single target with every hit, so Necrosavants with Nine Lives didn't stand a chance. Regarding your formation, do something similar to what I did in the video. Always put your most skilled and well equipped unit at the top, alone, as the necrosavants, ancient honour guards and The Conqueror all tend to attack that position. As I've already said, indomitable helps tanking both the hits from the 2 handers and more importantly miasma. As far as battle forged versus nimble is concerned, I can't really say battle forged is better. Even though miasma and bleed do direct HP damage, the nimble unit has much more HP. Combine that with steel brow, colossus, resilient and indomitable and they can tank anything. Almost everyone ended the fight at half or over half (or even full HP). The only person who was below half health and almost died, was because of The Conqueror cutting an artery + a group of Ancient Honor Guards attacking only him all in one turn. Other than that, nobody was at risk. So I think nimble is still very good even against this. I also recommend having some resolve so you can resist the Horrify spell the Ancient Priests cast (and an Undead Trophy on your best unit). And if all else fails, remember. You can lure some other enemies to the Black Monolith, and have them fight the Undead for you, making the entire thing a joke. Would love to hear what everyone's thoughts are on different Black Monolith strategies, if you have any. 🌟-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------🌟 🌟-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------🌟 Battle Brothers is a turn based tactical RPG which has you leading a mercenary company in a gritty, low-power, medieval fantasy world.
