Perissa is a quiet little village with black sand beach on the southern coast of Santorini. A short walk from the village will get you to see some spectacular panoramic views of the area. You can walk up to a little church on a cliff above the village, which can be seen from every point in Perissa. It is an easy 20 minutes walk, make sure you don't wear flip flops. Another little longer trail goes up to Ancient Thera over a mountain pass from which you can see the eastern part of the island, Anafi island, Kamari and the airport.
