This is Day 1 of my Golden Quadrilateral solo motorcycle ride across India. I started before sunrise from Pune and rode 571 kilometers in a single day to reach Davangere via NH 48. From smooth highways to heavy truck traffic, from daylight stretches to riding into the evening — this day tested endurance, focus, and mental strength. Crossing my first state border from Maharashtra to Karnataka was more than just a signboard moment — it was the beginning of something bigger. As a solo woman rider and a mother, this journey is not just about distance. It’s about breaking limits, owning the road, and showing that courage has no gender.
