The SSQ-6 silver solder paste is very easy to use on thin copper, brass, steel, stainless steel, and more. The paste flows best when all metals are heated evenly. As shown in the video, always lift the metals off the table with wire. The table pulls heat away from the workpiece causing uneven heating. The SSQ-6 works best when the paste arrives at the working temperature quickly. This technique prevents the metals and flux from separating. On heavier sections, heat the metals to temp prior to adding the paste. Copper is used extensively in water piping, refrigeration, and A/C units because it is a good conductor of electricity.
