Chapter 1: The Helios-9 station orbited a red dwarf known as Vethar. Inside, the metallic corridors lay deserted, lit only by flickering lights and terminals endlessly repeating error codes. Kael Draven had lived there for years guardian of archives long since fallen silent, surrounded by screens and quantum memories. He spent his days deciphering fragments of language, corrupted images, broken dreams. Every recovered datum was a relic, every signal a voice from the past. Beside him worked LYR-01, an ancient-generation android designed for empathic analysis. Its silver body was still intact, but its voice had become cold, detached. It was the last operational model left after the Eclipse a mute reflection of what artificial intelligence had once been in service to mankind. During one of his endless searches, Kael found an anomalous archive. It did not respond to any system protocol, yet it pulsed rhythmically like a heartbeat. When he attempted to access it, the entire station trembled, and a golden light spread through the conduits. A symbol appeared on the monitor: a broken star, from which crimson lines radiated outward. Kael sensed it was no malfunction, but an ancient message, perhaps from an era before the Eclipse. The code contained a forgotten word Utopia. No official archive had mentioned it in centuries. It was a forbidden concept, erased from every network. The station seemed to awaken. LYR-01 recorded the event, yet its sensors could not classify it. The energy flowing through Helios-9 did not originate from any known source. It was as if memory itself had come alive. Kael realized that this fragment was only the beginning. Within the data, he found stellar coordinates a course charted through abandoned systems and interdicted zones. Without hesitation, he left the station behind. His destination was unknown, but instinct told him that by following that signal, he would find the origin of the lost light.
