I recently picked up this stunning Arthur Rackham art book featuring his artwork inspired by Wagner's Ring at a local antique mall. As a child I was always drawn to fairytales with this style of artwork, so this was a real find. My artwork has a tendency to come out muddy, but seeing the earthy tones in this book I'm beginning to see that's not necessarily a bad thing. It creates a warm, rich, antique feel to the artworks. If you're wanting to look through art books and get recommendations, you've come to the right place. Since it's not always possible to look through a book online, especially out of print art books, I am creating a series of book look videos from my personal art library.
