POLICE VIDEO: Deputies use 'Grappler' to stop chase with burglary, shooting suspect

A suspect is accused of firing a gun while trying to get away from Thurston County deputies during a wild pursuit Friday morning. This video shows what happened during the incident from the perspective of officer's body and dash cameras, provided by the Thurston County Sheriff's Office. The incident began with a report of a commercial burglary on Old Hwy 99 in Rochester. Video released by the Thurston County Sheriff's Office shows deputies encountering a fleeing suspect as they arrived at the scene. Deputies chased the suspect to Nutmeg Drive in Grand Mound and deployed the 'Grappler', a device that wraps a net around the tire of a fleeing vehicle and forces it to stop. With the suspect's vehicle disabled, the video shows the man run away from the car with deputies chasing him on foot.
