The University of Oklahoma School of DanceSummer Intensive (14 to 20-year-old- Vienna Rogers Video Audition My name is Vienna Rogers, and I have been dedicated to dance for over ten years, with five years of experience performing in competitions. I specialize in jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, pointe, and hip-hop. I have had the privilege of performing in the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Nutcracker. As I prepare to enter high school this summer, I am eager to further develop my skills as a dancer. I believe that participating in a summer intensive program will provide the best opportunity for growth, develop new techniques and become an exceptional dancer. May parents both attended the University of Oklahoma and I am considering to also attend when I go for my undergrad. Therefore I thought it would be great to get a better feeling of the University and I believe this institution would be an excellent environment to expand my knowledge of various dance styles while refining both my technique and artistry. I feel the Academy will help me Discover new ways to incorporate creative and performance skills into dances. Gaining additional experience is essential for building my portfolio and achieving my dance aspirations. This program would allow me to perform at a larger scale compared to my current studio and broaden my network within the dance community by connecting me with other dancers.
