American Dad! is officially back at Fox for its 20th season. This time, it’s staying put. Originally launched in Fox in 2005 before moving to TBS in 2014, the long-running animated comedy was recently on the verge of cancellation until Fox came in to save the show. Now backed by a four-season renewal, the Seth MacFarlane-created series (alongside Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman) continues its long-running legacy alongside animation mainstays Family Guy and The Simpsons. While the return to Fox may come with fewer boundary-pushing lines, American Dad! Has never needed crude humor to thrive. The show continues to follow Stan Smith, a patriotic CIA agent, and his eccentric household; rebellious daughter Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane), awkward son Steve (Scott Grimes), wife Francine (Wendy Schaal), talking goldfish Klaus (Dee Bradley Baker).
