Whistler Blackcomb surprised us by opening Blackcomb mountain to the public a day early this ski season. Ullr did not disappoint and the mountain was absolutely loaded with snow. Blackcomb opened skiing to Vail staff the day before but thanks to a slight reset of snow there was bottomless pow to be skied. Blackcomb patrol even opened the uphill travel to 7th Heaven so I enjoyed two sick pow laps on Hugh’s and in the glades. La Niña is treating us real sweet right now and it’s only getting better. The taps aren’t turning off anytime soon and The Whistler side is scheduled to open next and no one has touched the mountain yet.
