The Retroid Pocket Classic is a milestone release for vertical-oriented handhelds -- it has an exceptional AMOLED display, Retroid's signature tight controls, and performance that's much better than its $130 retail price would suggest. Let's do a deep-dive review to demonstrate the frequent highs (an occasional lows) of this handheld. Correction: there is a toggle for "virtual joystick" in the Android handheld settings, when enabled it will allow the d-pad to mimic a left analog stick input. This makes a lot more Android games compatible, like Diablo Immortal and Horizon Chase. Dead Cells does have a d-pad toggle, but I missed it in the settings while making the review!
