(25 Jun 2025) FOR CLEAN VERSION SEE STORY NUMBER: 4585807 ++BLACK FRAMES BETWEEN SOUNDBITES++ ++EDIT STARTS AND ENDS ON SOUNDBITE++ AGENCY POOL The Hague, Netherlands - 25 June 2025 1. SOUNDBITE (English) Donald Trump, U.S. President: "It was a virtual obliteration. When you take a look at the ground above, don't forget the flame is all underground, but everything above, if you look at the before and the after picture, everything above is burned black. The trees, everything. And there's one building. But that's a building that sunk substantially into the granite. So that, you know, the fire goes right over it. It was, I believe it was total obliteration." ++DIP TO WHITE++ 2. SOUNDBITE (English) Donald Trump, U.S. President: "They're not looking to... Can you imagine, after all that, they're going to say, 'Oh, let's go do a bomb'. You know, there could be a day in the future. Well, and then somebody else taking our place will be saying, don't do it, and maybe they won't do it as well. I don't know, but, they're not going to have a bomb and they're not going to enrich." ++DIP TO WHITE++ 3. SOUNDBITE (English) Donald Trump, U.S. President: "Israel came back yesterday. I was so proud of them, because they came back, you know, they went out because they felt it was a violation. And technically they were right, but it just wouldn't have worked out very well. And they brought the planes back. They had gone on to another journey because there was a little bit of a violation. And, I said, ‘you got to get them back’. And they came back. It was a great thing. And it's going very well.” STORYLINE: U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday called the U.S. bombardment of Iranian nuclear sites "a virtual obliteration". Speaking to reporters in the Hague during a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, Trump rejected reports that the U.S. attack caused little damage to Iran. He also said he believed Iran did not have enough time to secure the sites ahead of the U.S. attack to be able to continue enriching uranium. "I believe they didn't have a chance to get anything out because we acted fast" said Trump. The U.S. president also called the attack "a tremendous victory for everybody, including Iran." Trump was speaking alongside Pete Hegseth, U.S. Secretary of Defense, and Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of State. NATO member leaders, including Trump, gathered Wednesday for a summit in the Netherlands where they are expected to agree upon a new defense spending target of 5% of gross domestic product. =========================================================== Clients are reminded to adhere to all listed restrictions and to check the terms of their licence agreements.
