Derren Litten is an English comedy writer and actor. He is best known as the co-writer of the award-winning The Catherine Tate Show, for which he wrote and appeared as several different characters in the first two series and the 2005 Christmas Special. He has also acted in many comedy and drama series including Perfect World, French and Saunders, Spaced, EastEnders, Green Wing and Pie in The Sky with Richard Griffiths. His first sitcom Benidorm which he is the main writer of, has been co-written on occasions by Steve Pemberton who also plays Mick Garvey. It was created for ITV in 2007. The series was re-commissioned for 2018. Series 10 will begin airing on 28 February, the weekly air date has now been changed to Wednesday nights. The show has won several awards for Best Comedy. Litten has appeared in Benidorm several times as different characters. His most recent is 'Elvis', chauffeur for Crystal Hennesy-Vass , CEO of Solana Hotel Groups.
