Kenyan Super Model Ajuma Nasanyana talks about getting into modelling by luck and how she left her career in athletics to focus on an industry that exposed her to new opportunities and made her meet new people. #Ajuma talks to #RobertAlai of #TheAudit about meeting top stars and celebrities and how models are recruited into vices that can destroy their careers. Having worked for top brands like Vogue, Elle, Lacoste, Marie Claire, Fendi among others, Ajuma experienced colourism and didn't know how to confront it then. With Black Lives Matter, she regrets not countering the racism in the industry and not speaking out loud enough but is proud of her efforts to fight skin bleaching. She talks to us about modelling in Africa and how young girls are exploited and why modelling is still a female industry. Ajuma is running a charity where she has partnered with other corporates to empower girls from pastoralist communities and other parts of the country.
