Using the Boss SD1 as a kind of clean boost with the level nearly all the way up and the gain nearly off. been trying to get some more sustain for the more technical playing. I know this is a classic trick with overdrive pedals but it’s never really worked for me in the past. It works perfect in this scenario with the amp cranked and just adding some boost and compression with the pedal.
