Join this channel to get access to the online course:    / @veterinarychannel4u   Now we have to discuss some of the conditions in the ruminants. The first condition is dermatophytosis, which is also known as ringworm it is basically a fungal infection caused by the trichophyton varicose in ruminants, and this disease is characterized by the formation of the grayish-white crust formation. Here, there is a crust formation on the skin that is grayish-white in color, and because these lesions are circular in nature, they look like rings. This is why this condition is commonly known as ringworm. Then, sometimes, these lesions become very crusty and thick, and there is a pus formation in these lesions. This condition will be called suppuration, right? How do you treat this condition? Mostly, this condition is self-limited. There is no need for treatment, but we still treat the animal. Because it is contagious, it can transfer from one animal to another. This is why it is crucial to treat this condition. No doubt it is self-limiting, but you should treat it. How will you treat it? You will take a brush and remove the crust with that brush. After removing, you will apply some antifungal topical treatment like lime sulfur, or you can also use miconazole.
