I just watched this video from 10 years ago. At the end of this video I oil the blade. Don't ever do that!@ The wheels get slick and the blade falls off. Run the saw dry. Blade Dry, Wheels Dry. If the blade falls off when you run it you have too much blade tension. Back it off until the blade stays on. I'm hundreds of cuts into aluminum, brass and steel and still on the first blade. This is a video about refurbishing an antique Craftsman Horizontal Bandsaw. These saws, part number 101.22922 were manufactured in the 40’s and 50’s. This saw was in storage; it had belonged to the owner’s grandfather. It had a bump to it when I first started it up, the belt and the blade had not turned in a long time. I picked up some new blades, replaced the belt with a link belt, and went through the hydraulic cylinder; it just needed fluid. All of the bushings were in good shape. I built a smaller stand so the saw would fit better in my shop. I cleaned it up and put it back together. Now I have the smallest horizontal bandsaw of everyone I know. Here’s a link to a parts list for this saw. https://www.searspartsdirect.com/mode... Parts are still available at Sears. Thanks for watching.
