In David's own words: "As a photographic artist, my pallet is primarily in Black and White, especially in high contrast. I enjoy exploring photography as an artistic medium for the expression of emotions. Be it Fine Art Photography, Street Photography or Abstract Art.   I embrace the concept of “Wabi-Sabi”, a Japanese aesthetic sometimes described as one of “flawed beauty”, appreciating beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete" in nature.  I don’t follow the strict rules of composition, but compose images in a manner that “feels good” and enhances the emotions in the image. I present my images to the viewer to interact with based on their life experiences and emotions. Be it a series of images telling a story or an isolated single image, my goal is not to force my story onto the viewer, but to provide a catalyst to allow them to respond in a manner based on their personal emotions and life experiences. I don’t analyze the emotions in my work, I let them out to breath.  The images come from the inner fog of my life experiences as a response to subjects, pictures or objects I encounter in my day-to-day life. So, I appreciate your time to view my work. Love it or hate it, either is great. I thank you." In the Shadows Collection: In this collection, David explores the following theme: ‘Is there a loss of reality when one has lost their identity?’ More and more people are losing their identities and sliding into the shadows around us. Alone, often perceived as threatening but, always faceless on the edges of perception.
