St John's Church at Little Gidding has attracted pilgrims - ordinary folk and royalty - for many years but in this century, it is perhaps the work of the poet T.S. Eliot which has drawn people to visit the church deep in the Huntingdonshire countryside. Little Gidding is also well-known in its own right for Nicholas Ferrar's Anglican community. Other historical figures associated with Little Gidding include King Charles I and the poet George Herbert, a contemporary of Nicholas Ferrar.
