This Could Be the Start of Something Big - Swingtime Big Band

New York's Swingtime Big Band performing in July 2021 at Connecticut's renowned Music Mountain Festival for Swingtime's 13th annual concert there. We opened the show with our traditional introduction--"LIVE....FROM NEW YORK....IT'S SWINGTIME!--leading into this up-tempo version of a song that was popularized by Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme (a.k.a. Steve & Eydie!). This is perhaps the most famous song (among over 2,000!) written by the amazing entertainer Steve Allen, who was the original host of The Tonight Show, and in addition to being a great opening number, it was our way to salute Steve Allen in honor of his 100th birthday in 2021. The arrangement was written by the great Lennie Niehaus, and featured soloists are Shawn Edmonds on trumpet, Isaac Ben Ayala on piano, and Rob 'Sticks' Levy on drums (plus a nice soli from our saxophone section!).
