I find it embarrassing to put on that spectacle (fully loaded bar when no one else that I know does that in person). I know people are staring at me thinking I'm stupid. Friends telling me in person I am stupid. But I am doing it anyway because since starting 8 months ago with 405-495lb rack pulls/ cheat shrugs it has been working! Traps have been growing after years of doing 225-365 strict with zero results. So I swallow my pride, take the looks, and insults, and do it anyway because it is working (for me). Traps are significantly bigger imo, and now strict rep shrugs are even easier during warm ups. If you are wondering if the weird lift works, but too prideful to suffer the embarrassment to do it or anything unconventional, you sir are the ego lifter. I primarily have uploaded calisthenics and ring training videos. That mode of training is something I still enjoy, but currently being more motivated by weight training, so I am doing that!
