When the installation of the print management software is done, the next step is adding the organzation’s users and giving them relevant printing rights. There are three ways to import users into the MyQ system. The first is basic manual input, where you select a user, put them into the corresponding group and define available printing options. Using CSV synchronization allows you to add multiple users at the same time. You only need to provide the file path, set basic parameters and submit it into the system. The most widely used option is LDAP import. If you are not familiar with it, don’t worry – MyQ’s LDAP browser is here to assist you with connecting the database and navigating through it. Everything can be simply imported with the drag & drop method. First connect to the LDAP server, find the file you want to add to MyQ, and just drop it in the Base DN field. Find the attributes you need to use for the account and drag them in the system. Then decide which of the 4 different groups (or their combination) the user belongs to for accounting purposes, and you are set to go!
