Here's my Sega Genesis / Mega Drive cover of the Demitri's theme from the second DarkStalkers game. This was created in the paid version of Deflemask and as always runs on actual Genesis / MD hardware. I've set up a Patreon and a Ko-Fi page for those who want to contribute to my channels. My Patreon page is / inglebardgaming and my Ko-Fi page is at https://www.ko-fi.com/Inglebard. I used multidumperGUI to break the channels into individual wave files and I then used Corroscope to create the oscilliscope views for those channels. I edit all my videos in Davinci Resolve. Notes for this one...allrighty another one in the can! I did this one for the upcoming homebrew version of Darkstalkers for the Genesis, which will combine some stuff from a few different games in the series. As usual, getting the drum tracks down is tough when going from CPS2 to Genesis. The arcade version primarily uses three distinct rhythm tracks (sometimes four) so squeezing that into ONE isn't too easy, you're gonna lose SOMETHING. I manage to put a little of it into the PSG noise channel to fill in a smidge of what was missing while leaving the precious FM channels open for the main parts. I didn't really know this song all too well and had listened to it a whopping total of one time before I started working on this, lol. As you can probably imagine, I've heard it an AWFUL LOT now. There are a few things I wish I could have gotten to sound a smidge better (the hard brass shortly after the intro and the strings - always the strings) but overall I'm pretty happy with the results. What do you think? Jump in and tell me what a terrible, decent, OK or great job I did in the comments! As a side note, My time is at a premium these days, so I'm going to have to limit what I work on. I'll still contribute to homebrew stuff as I can, but paid stuff, my real job, in-progress master's degree work and family have to take precedence. I did this song for the homebrew project as I said above, but it took me like 6 weeks to get a couple of days to put it together. Anyway, if you want to help a struggling artist, any Patreon or Ko-Fi donations would be super appreciated. It's tough to make ends meet at the moment so any contributions would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, that's about it for this one. Oh, and don't forget to check out and sub to my (mainly) retrogaming channel! / inglebardgaming Catch you in the next one! #demitri #darkstalkers #segagenesis #deflemask #capcom #megadrive #genesismusic #ym2612 #vgm #gamemusic #sega #16bit #chiptune #SNES
