This week’s hosts are Sofia Spina and Jimmy Jr. They delve into a trending topic, Traditional Wives and women’s perceived role in christianity. Michael from TN is frustrated that more right leaning christians are the only people to call into these types of shows, making christians seem nutty. We just take the calls we get. Michael fails to reconcile some of the more misogynistic parts of the bible. Try reading the bible at face value, don’t assume it’s a good book overall. Mattias in CA finds god in all aspects of nature, “look at the stars and moon”. Why should we equate stars and the moon to god when we know the creation story is not true? Look into the origins of religions and how god beliefs were created. A god belief does not mean people act better. Michael in CA thinks God values every human equally, regardless of gender, because we’re all sinners. But he loves us… There are lots of examples of scripture demeaning women, for example the “women submit to their husbands” command. You need to really read the bible at face value, there is some heinous stuff in there. John in The UK thinks Jesus’ resurrection meant a regeneration into a new kind of existence. That departs from what we are presented in the bible. The bible gets a lot wrong. It sounds like John is coming up with an alternate view to explain away the biblical view of resurrection and what we know about reality. That's all for this week, thanks for tuning in!
