IFAC Connect AsiaPac: Remarks from IFAC President

President of IFAC, Jean Bouquot delivered the welcome remarks at IFAC Connect Asia Pacific 2025 on 4 December 2025. In his speech, Bouquot stated that regional collaboration is a crucial pillar in strengthening the accounting profession in the Asia-Pacific region. He also highlighted his close engagement with Indonesia’s professional ecosystem, which has given him a deep understanding of the commitment shown by regulators, academia, and professional organizations in addressing future challenges and opportunities. On this occasion, Bouquot expressed his appreciation and congratulations to IAI for assuming the Presidency of the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) for the 2026–2027 term.
