More and more people are leaving the chaos of Austin and Travis County in search of more space and better home pricing in the country-type area of Williamson County. But this won’t last long—experts project that this area will be as big as Travis County within the next 15–20 years! Here are some other interesting facts about Williamson County: The current population is 645,000 residents, up more than 50% from 2010. The population is expected to grow to 1 million in the next 20 years. Of the 25 fastest-growing neighborhoods listed in the Austin Business Journal, 70% are in Williamson County. Over 50% of people who live in Williamson County work there as well. Among the main reasons for all this growth is the enormous amount of industry moving into the region. During the next ten years, we will see the completion of Samsung, Applied Materials, and technology data centers. With this area on track to grow even more in the coming years, now is the perfect time for you to get a foothold in this market. With that in mind, the available housing inventory is still very low. Many homeowners who took advantage of the historically low rates over the past few years and refinanced are sitting on a cushion of equity and choosing to stay in their homes longer if they don’t have to sell. Builders are unloading their inventories, offering heavy incentives that compete with homeowners looking to sell. Homebuyers are faced with stiff competition for the available homes. #AustinRealEstate #AustinRealtors #RealEstateExpert
