This 2006 Martin D-18 Authentic 1937, is a wonderful recreation of it's esteemed 1937 namesake, the pre-war Martin D-18. Vintage Martin D-18s from the prewar era are coveted for their open and powerful voice. This Authentic is built to those exacting specs. This particular Martin D-18 Authentic has a wide grain Adirondack top that has amazing bass response and volume. This one has been outfitted with a Baggs M1 Active pickup, very handy for gigs in the modern world, but also easily removable. This one has the wider modern fingerboard dimension of 1 3/4" nut and 2 1/4" saddle and a chunky soft V neck carve. A real player's delight!
