Lets Playthrough Star Crawlers Beta (Part 1)

Welcome to the stars everyone – filled with floating derelicts, abandoned mining tunnels and stranded star ships. We'll be adventuring through these areas with a group of mercenaries called 'star crawlers' in this randomly generated, 3D dungeon crawl game. It pulls on game mechanics from a host of other games: movement from Eye of the Beholder, a fighting system like Dragon Warrior, random events like FTL, talent trees like WoW or Grim Dawn, and randomized loot like most action RPGs. This game is in beta btw – early beta at that . Things are a bit unbalanced at the moment (leaning towards too easy) but it's still a fun romp and time killer. There's a few glitches in the game – but it is quite playable. I've yet to have a CTD (crash to decktop) in my 7 hours of playing the game so far though and it has a great deal of potential. If there's something you want to see let me know and I'll make a group that does it. You should know that this game was a Kickstarter game that I backed. $85.00 put towards it – so I have a vested interest in the game. Know that I also love playing betas and such: seeing a game evolve is always pleasant. I've found myself going on a 'quick crawl' when I've or so to spare – so I figured why not start a new LP up to show this off? Finally – you should probably check the game forums: http://www.starcrawlers.com/forum/ if you are curious about the game. They have their developer diaries where hints as to what is in the next build can be found, and other such things along with thoughts from others who have bought in to the early access. Anyway – let's go crawling!
