Auckland New Zealand is known as the City of Sails and approximately 20% of NZers own a boat. Today, I will take you to one of the prestigious Marina in New Zealand. Halfmoon bay is a coastal suburb located in South of Bucklands beach in Manukau City, Auckland NZ. With its Marina and ferry services is the gateway to East Auckland and is on the Western side of Peninsular. Its adjacent shopping centre and restaurants provide a perfect vantage point across the moored boats and the Tamaki Estuary. The Marina allows for a short sailing time to the picturesque Hauraki Gulf for the over 500 boats moored there. There are also a passenger and vehicle ferry services that provide links to downtown Auckland and Waiheke Island. A 230 metre boardwalk links the Southern end of little Bucklands beach to Halfmoon bay Marina. This provides pedestrian and cycles access to the Marina shopping centre.
