Over the last few decades, there have been major advancements in the diagnosis and treatments of histiocytosis. This has led to a growing survivor population. There is a lack of information on how to counsel patients with histiocytosis beyond their initial treatment, specifically long-term follow-up plans to prevent late complications and reduce symptom burden.
