At Lelienfontein, we believe successful grape-growing depends on planting the best quality vines available. Each year, we hand-graft more than eight million vines - this makes Lelienfontein Vine Growers the biggest vine nursery in Africa. We grow all vitus species: Wine Grapes Table Grapes Raisin Grapes All possible combinations of vines are grafted at Lelienfontein Vine Growers. More cultivars and clones are being developed every year, resulting in a wide range of stock for clients to select. Lelienfontein Vine Growers are able to obtain licenses to graft newly developed cultivars. Currently more than 350 different combinations are grafted every season. Clients select rootstock based on their soil types and growth requirements. Stocks To ensure the availability of the vine combination required by the client, the vines have to be ordered in March of the year preceding the year in which the vines are to be planted.
