They record under her name as simply 'Laura Duncan'. Originally from Leicestershire, England, Laura is now a staple of live music in her home base of Los Angeles and beyond. In 2011, Laura recorded the 4 song EP, 'Everywhere and Nowhere.' She quickly followed up with her debut album, 'LOUD AND CLEAR' in late 2012, and shot a music video for her first single, 'Box of Nails'. It was selected for inclusion in the Machinima Film Festival. 'Laura Duncan is a revelation. I'm talking blues riffs, jazz tinges, and one of the strongest voices I've heard in a while.' (Redfishingboat) Inspired by the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, The Black Crowes, Bonnie Raitt, Etta James, and Cat Stevens, Laura developed a wide appreciation of diverse musical styles that helped shape her own songwriting. At 18, Laura was the lead guitarist of an all-female pop/rock band called 'Liquid Sol' based in Florida. As she grew as a songwriter, she moved to Los Angeles and turned her focus to playing and singing her own material. She continued to define her sound and found new directions in the work of Muse, Sia, and Tori Amos. Her current music reflects her deep blues/rock influences but with soulful melodies, subtle jazz influences and a powerful voice that is truly her own.
