Polysaccharide hemostatic powder to prevent bleeding after endoscopic submucosal dissection in high risk patients: a randomized controlled trial by Da Hyun Jung, Hee Seok Moon, Chan Hyuk Park et al. Summary: Patients undergoing gastric ESD were randomized between post-gastric ESD application of polysaccharide hemostatic powder (PHP) vs. no PHP application. It was found that PHP did not reduce the post-ESD bleeding rate, although there was a trend toward reduced bleeding rates in high risk patients not using antithrombotic agents.
