I set up this channel as I want to help you to break free from your toxic childhood controlling your adult life. So why does a toxic childhood follow us into our adult lives? It is due to psychological concept called Repetition Compulsion. In my videos, I explain how Repetition Compulsion works and how we can break free from it controlling our adult lives. I also explain what I call The 6 Bad Messages and how they control our lives too. I show how Repetition Compulsion and The 6 Bad messages go hand in hand. They feed into each other, keeping us stuck under their control. With The 6 Bad Mesages, in my videos, I use a consistent image to represent each Bad Message and the feeling it creates. These expressions represent the Bad Message, not the person. I want to help you break free from the control of Repetition Compulsion and The 6 Bad Messages. You are very welcome on my channel. I'm glad you are here. My YouTube Framework I had a difficult childhood but, what I didn't realise back then is, that my childhood would follow me into my adult life, for every hour of every day. In my adult life, I ended up recreating the abuse I suffered in my childhood - and I didn't even know I was doing this. My adult life was full of toxic people and toxic situations, chaos and disaster, till, in my forties, I finally met a therapist who understood the impact of childhood trauma. Please see my video 'Healing - My Story' which explains all this. My ideas and methods are based on my personal experience of living under the control of Repetition Compulsion and what I have named The 6 Bad Messages, and breaking free from both. In my opinion, Repetition Compulsion and The 6 Bad Messages go hand in hand. They both feed into each other. I also present what I have found are three ways to break free from this control: Awareness, Trusting Your Instincts and 'Nip and Flip The 6 Bad Messages'. My three dogs, who I name The Three Wise Tails, asked could they take on the important role of telling you how to break free and heal and of course I said 'Yes'! When the Three Wise Tails explain how to break free, they introduce my teaching concepts of 'Nip and Flip The 6 Bad Messages' and 'Top Dog or Cog?' — the difference between consciously running your own life, or remaining stuck in the unseen toxic machinery of Repetition Compulsion and The 6 Bad Messages. I use what I call Tales of Repetition Compulsion (TORCs) to show you how Repetition Compulsion and The 6 Bad Messages invade every area of our lives. This framework is my idea of how to learn about Repetition Compulsion and The 6 Bad Messages, and how to break free from them controlling your life. In my experience, many people can find it difficult to understand both the concept and terminology of Repetition Compulsion. Therefore, my ideas to explain: the psychological concept of Repetition Compulsion (children learn what they live), the three ways to heal from it (which include Nip and Flip and Top Dog Or Cog?) narrated by The Three Wise Tails, Tales of Repetition Compulsion (TORCs) and The 6 Bad Messages, were all developed by me to make complex psychological processes and terminology understandable, relatable, recognisable, and usable in everyday life. They give people a language for experiences they have often felt — but have never been able to name and understand.
