Well, freakin' finally... watch me pull a proper flatspin on the F-16!! :D This jet makes it harder to enter the spin state, particularly since my CG is a bit on the nose heavy side, and the stabilators lack authority when trying to induce yaw at high angles of attack fue to the thinner geometry of the aircraft, being a single engine fighter and all... but with the right inputs at the correct attitude and in the appropriate conditions, the flat spin does actually work, so that's that! @TwoBrosRC has previously demonstrated the maneuver on this jet too, so that's that! I would still prefer the Su-35 or F-22 as flat-spinning platforms, but the extra difficulty of the F-16 makes it a welcome challenge, so I'm not complaining! ^^ This day, the gyro was a little better setup than in my previous video, with excessive roll gain... still, there is yet margin for improvements! I'm flying this one on my new Jeti transmitter with a REX6A gyro-integrated receiver, so I'm using stabilization only in pitch and roll, yaw is undamped, although I plan to upgrade to another receiver with more channels to fix that issue ;) I also use a MUI200 current sensor, which helps making the most out of each and every flight! So far I'm keeping the jet unpainted, in the plain grey military livery of the USAF but in the near future I will probably repaint it in the belgian XTM scheme from the 31st Tigers Squadron, which I had the pleasure to watch perform live back in 2022 and immediately fell in love with it! :) Actually, that F-16 is probably the reason I decided I had to include a Viper in my fleet, hahaha! :D This jet is truly outstanding as a scale model, with a plethora of scale details and with the possibility of installing a lot of ordnance, including fuel tanks, short and medium range missiles! That's also one of the reasons I wanted to get the jet... it looks gorgeous in the air showing off with all the underslung gear installed! Here, on the second flight I was already flying it with a couple of fuel tanks, but wait for it... because I loaded it even more heavily already on the third, fourth and fifth sorties! (Video coming soon!) :p These were flights 20th to 22nd on 'Skye', as I decided to kindly dub this airframe ;) Pilot: RC4ever Ground video: Luis Ibáñez Airfield: Club Els Cards F-16 SPECS: Wingspan: 1000mm Length: 1450mm Flying Weight: 3500g aprox Ducted Fan: 80mm, 12 blade Motor: Brushless inrunner 3665 - KV2000 ESC: Predator 100A UBEC: Turnigy 8-15A Servos: (Replaced the stab servos and left everything else stock) 2x 13g VOTIK 9495 MG-D 7x 9g Stock digital metal gear Receiver: Jeti REX6A Assist + FrSky 4ch SBUS Decoder Current sensor: Jeti MUI200 Main battery: SMC HCL-HVP 6S 4400mAh Receiver battery: Rhino 2S 610mAh --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can also follow me on: YouTube: / airguardian Facebook: / rc4ever Instagram: / airguardian Twitter: / rc4media Patreon: / airguardian
