HOW TO CLEAN THE INSIDE OF YOUR STOVE WITH AMMONIA – 06:11 Preheat the oven to 150 F or as low as it will go. Boil a large pot of water. Once the oven is preheated, turn it off. (If you have a gas oven, turn off the gas to the oven and blow out the pilot light.) Put 4 cups of boiling water in an oven safe container on the bottom rack of the oven and 1 cup of ammonia in an oven safe container on the top rack. Close the oven and wait overnight. In the morning mix 4 cups of warm water, 1 cup of ammonia, and 1 tsp of liquid dish soap to create a cleaning solution. Wipe out the inside of the oven and the oven racks with a scrubby sponge soaked in the cleaning solution. Wipe out the oven and cleaning solution residue with a damp rag, and you’re done!
