Meet Bash Harry, a Bruneian media broadcaster and co-founder of The Brunei Writers, a community organization that aims to feature upcoming writers and bring visibility to the literary arts through unique projects and collaborations. Are you interested in the advancement of Southeast Asian women and sex-based rights? Bash Harry has been featured as a guest speaker at WOW Exeter on sex, gender, and race, Exeter Feminist Society’s panel on body positivity and ExTalks: Evening on Diversity, as well as numerous panels about women in higher education in Brunei. As such, she was placed 8th in The Tab’s Future 100 -- most influential female students in the UK. @heybash is an avid performer in the international slam community, competing in UniSlam 2018 & 2019, the UK's largest team spoken word and poetry slam. Her works include Filterworks Productions’ The Bungsu Story and currently writing for an upcoming comedy. She is also the YSEALI 2020 Academic Fellow for Entrepreneurship.
