On the 15th of November 2025, London bus route 217 was changed. The route has been operated by Go-Ahead London since November 2024. The electrics have been delayed, meaning diesel buses are being used temporarily. Wright Eclipse Gemini 2s from 2011 are the 217's new temporary allocation. These buses were recently used on route 144, which has passed to Go-Ahead. Under Go-Ahead, the 217 has used a wide variety of diesel buses. Including ex-First Gemini 2s from 2009 and 2010, A Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 from 2011, ADL Enviro400s from 2012, And ex-Abellio Enviro400s from 2012. Go-Ahead ran the 217 from their Northumberland Park (NP) garage. Route 217's timetable and frequency have also been changed. The route now runs every 20 minutes on early morning Sundays instead of every 30. The frequency will remain at every 12-20 minutes at other times. The times of first buses have also changed on Sundays. First buses buses will now leave Waltham Cross at 04:50. With buses leaving Turnpike Lane at 05:30. The last Go-Ahead 217s were run by E248 and WVN13 respectively. WVN13 (LK59FEG) ended its journey at around 01:30 am on Saturday morning. Route 217 runs between Waltham Cross and Turnpike Lane Station. The route serves Waltham Cross Bus Station, Arlington Crescent, Bullsmoor Lane, Lea Valley High School, Great Cambridge Road, Turkey Street Station, Hoe Lane, Carterhatch Lane, Cambridge Gardens, Enfield Retail Park, Baird Road, Southbury Road, Lincoln Road, Bush Hill Park Station, Bury Street, Church Street, Cambridge Roundabout North Side, Cambridge Roundabout South Side, Empire Parade, White Hart Lane, Courtman Road, Granville Road, Westbury Avenue Baptist Church, Turnpike Lane Station and Turnpike Lane Bus Station.
