2026 Do Good Wisconsin Public Service Impact Award

The Do Good Wisconsin Public Service Impact Award recognizes an individual serving in a public service role who goes beyond their job description through service, innovation, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others. This year, we are proud to honor Deputy Rick Felger for his initiative, compassion, and leadership within the Dane County Jail. Since joining the Dane County Sheriff’s Office in May of 2024, Deputy Felger has demonstrated a deep sense of responsibility not only for safety, but for the well-being and dignity of those in his care. Utilizing his proficiency in Strategic Inmate Management (SIM), he identified a simple but meaningful need — the jail’s library was outdated, with books that were damaged and no longer serving the population effectively.
