This is how you find old deserted abandoned places out in the woods. Hike explore read the landscape history rock walls stone walls cellar holes colonial farms new England , old apple trees , barb wire, cart paths, wagon trails, dirt roads, stacked rocks. These old home sites from the 1700s were mostly abandoned in the late 1800s because the land was just unforgiving. In this video we will hike way out on the backside of a small mountain and look for the signs of life after people. Finding where houses were can be difficult but it can be done even tho it is heavily overgrown.
