When did you realize our society wasn’t really that nice?  Ava cheerfully took a couple of outfits to the dressing room. As she was about to change, a security guard tugged on the blinds and entered Ava’s space. She gasped in shock. But the guard was unbothered. He smiled and said: “I can’t leave you alone, miss. Store policy”. Ava protested his behavior and called over the manager. Yet, the woman took the guard’s side. Ava saw there was no reasoning with these racists and wanted to leave. But the manager stopped her. She didn’t allow her to leave the store until Ava had proven she didn’t steal anything.
