Baessler & Herzberger perform this ZZTop Classic, feel free to comment & rate this video if you like or dislike it! YouTube user @jxbusic made a tab and description on how to play the song on guitar my style, thanks a lot for the work you put in it! I quote from his comment and added my own comments in this kind of [brackets]: "The main chords for the riff are: (remember, capo is on the 2nd fret with the low E open, so the open strings are actually e,B,E,A,C#,F# but for ease of notation for the chords below, I've used normal tuning) eADGBE 000033 - 1 (don't know name) [that's a simplified G] 000011 - 2 (ditto) [that's a simplified F] 00023x - 3 (like a regular D except with high E string open, even though you don't really play it) 03203x - 4 (C9) 32002x - 5 (G) x02220 - 6 (A) [I actually play x02200, which is an A sus2] There's a little ascending run between finishing the riff and starting it again - open A string, hammer-on A string 5rd fret (3rd above capo) then open D string and back to the riff. After playing through the riff a few times, the next part stays on the D-chord above for two measures (clean shirt, new shoes...), but lifts the fingers up quickly after one measure to play all open strings between them. Then goes to C9 (or whatever variant Florian plays) then G (I don't know where I am going to...) again lifting the fingers to play all strings open once to get that 'passing chord' colour. Play that twice, then go to A (they come a-running just as fast as they can...) then hit the low E string fretted at the 5th fret twice then a bit of silence and back into the riff." I'd be glad if you shared this or my other videos with your friends, and I'd be honored if you befriended me on facebook. / wilderpilger
