Are you dreaming of an epic adventure across Africa without breaking the bank? In this video, I’ll show you exactly how I visited 8 African countries for less than $1,600 in flight and transportation costs! From multi-city flight hacks to budget-friendly buses, car rentals, and unforgettable road trips, I’ve got all the tips you need to make this journey a reality. Here’s the breakdown of my itinerary: 🌍 Step 1: Use incognito mode on Skyscanner to find the best deals on multi-city flights. My route: Germany → Ethiopia → Egypt → South Africa for just $540 with @egyptair. Similar routes are available from the US starting at $900! 🌍 Step 2: Explore Johannesburg, then take a bus to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe ($80 round trip). Get a $45 multi-entry visa for Zimbabwe, which allows you to cross the bridge into Zambia at the Misi Oa Tunya Falls also known as Victoria Falls to experience both sides of this breathtaking natural wonder before returning to Zimbabwe! 🌍 Step 3: Rent a car in Johannesburg ($200, including fuel) and drive to Cape Town. The roads are great, and the views are absolutely stunning. Make sure to book unlimited mileage to avoid extra costs! 🌍 Step 4: Embark on an unforgettable road trip from Cape Town to Namibia. Rent an SUV ($600 for 8 days, including fuel and a cross-border pass) to visit incredible spots like Deadvlei. Unlimited mileage is a MUST—trust me, you’ll need it! Sharing costs with friends makes it even more affordable. 🌍 Step 5: After returning to Cape Town, fly to Zanzibar ($300). Alternatively, for a more scenic and budget-friendly option, fly to Livingstone in Zambia, take a bus to Kapiri Mposhi, ride the TAZARA Railway to Dar es Salaam, and then hop on a ferry to Zanzibar. 🌍 Step 6: From Zanzibar, take a ferry to Dar es Salaam ($30) and a bus to Nairobi, Kenya ($18). Pro tip: Always book unlimited mileage on car rentals and try different dates on Skyscanner to find the cheapest flights. I’ve been on this journey for 11 months now, currently in Kenya, with no plans to return to Europe anytime soon. 🌍❤️ 👉 Save this itinerary and share it with your travel squad!
