Comparing the stock pickups on the Made in Japan Geddy Lee Jazz Bass with the Di Marzio Ultra Jazz pickups. These pickups offer a double configuration: series and parallel and I've covered both in the demo. Series: Coils in each pickup are connected to each other, much like the pickup in a Precision Bass Parallel: The two coils aren't connected to each other but simply connected to ground and the output signal, resulting in a thinner sound.
