À l'occasion de l'exposition ARTISTE ACTIVISTE ARCHIVISTE - BERNHARD LÜTHI INVITE présentée du 16 juin au 10 novembre 2024 à la Fondation Opale à Lens, nous avons réalisé une interview de l'artiste et curateur d’origine bernoise Bernhard Lüthi, figure militante pour la reconnaissance de l’art aborigène australien en Europe. Cette interview, réalisée le 28 février 2024 à Genève, accompagne l'exposition dédiée au parcours de Bernhard Lüthi et présente une sélection de travaux de Lüthi lui-même, ainsi que des œuvres d’artistes qui ont marqué sa carrière, abordant de manière critique les thèmes toujours prégnants à ce jour du colonialisme, de l’européocentrisme et du racisme, dans le domaine des arts visuels et la société en général, autant en Australie qu’en Europe. This interview, conducted on February 28, 2024 in Geneva, complete the exhibition dedicated to Bernhard Lüthi's career, which features a selection of Lüthi’s own works, alongside works by artists who have played a key role in his career. These works critically engage with themes of colonialism, Eurocentrism, and racism that persist in both the visual arts and society at large, both in Australia and Europe.
